STEVE HALVERSON

CHAIRMAN OF THE HASKELL COMPANY

Mr. Steve Halverson is Chairman of The Haskell Company, one of the nation’s largest integrated design-build organizations, with operations throughout the United States and Latin America and headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida. He served as CEO from 2000–2018. During his tenure as CEO, Haskell grew to become a billion dollar enterprise, made several acquisitions, and expanded its operations globally in Latin America and Asia. Steve also serves as a corporate director for CSX Corporation and GuideWell, a health solutions company.

Mr. Halverson is also active in civic organizations. He is past chairman of the Florida Council of 100, the Florida Chamber of Commerce, the Jacksonville Civic Council, Teach for America Jacksonville, the Jacksonville Symphony and the United Way of Northeast Florida campaign. Mr. Halverson is a 2007 recipient of the Prime Osborn Distinguished Business Leader Award. In 2008 he was elected by the Florida Council on Economic Education to the First Coast Business Hall of Fame. He is a recipient of the University of North Florida Presidential Medallion (2011), the Governor’s Business Leader of the Year Award (2012), the OneJax Humanitarian Award (2013) and the Jacksonville Business Journal Multicultural Lifetime Achievement Award (2015).

Now, Mr. Halverson is contributing his time and talent to help in our efforts to improve lives and cure type 1 diabetes by serving as honoree.
